Most business owners plan on selling their business soon, but don't have an exit plan

According to recent research from The Sellability Score, the majority of business owners surveyed (more than 27 percent) planned on exiting their business within 5 to 10 years. One in three business owners expected to fund half their retirement through the sale of their business, and more than 40 percent would walk away from their business today if offered $1 million or less. However, nearly 90 percent of respondents didn’t have an exit plan.
