A recent survey from the National Small Business Association (NSBA) about access to capital for small business owners revealed that they are still struggling to find financing. Of those that were looking for, and struggling to find, capital, more than 50 percent said that they were unable to grow their business and expand their operations as a result. More than 30 percent responded that they had to reduce the number of their employees.

However, thanks to the recent JOBS Act, some entrepreneurs are looking forward to exploring new opportunities for investments, such as crowdfunding. Almost 20 percent of respondents replied that the crowdfunding legislation makes them more likely to seek outside investors.
