| Description | Please note: This event is exclusive to Asia Society corporate members U.S. corporations, entrepreneurs and policymakers must innovate faster, better and cheaper in today's volatile business environment — and they can, by adopting a frugal and flexible approach to innovation called "Jugaad," which is prevalent in emerging markets like India, Brazil, and China. Jugaad, a Hindi word meaning an innovative fix, is a groundswell movement unfolding across America led by millennials, progressive government agencies and forward-thinking universities enabling "bottom-up" innovation to effectively deal with pressing issues in the U.S. such as healthcare, transportation and energy. Leading U.S. firms are also starting to use Jugaad to generate breakthrough growth in a complex, resource-scarce world. Please join us for an interactive panel discussion with Carlos Ghosn — as our distinguished speaker — and Navi Radjou and Dr. Simone Ahuja, co-authors of Jugaad Innovation. They will explore how Western companies and societies can accelerate growth by embracing the art of frugal engineering that is being pioneered in emerging economies. Carlos Ghosn is the Chairman and CEO of Renault-Nissan Alliance. Navi Radjou is an innovation and leadership strategist based in Silicon Valley and a Fellow at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, and a World Economic Forum faculty member. Dr. Simone Ahuja is the founder of Blood Orange, a marketing and strategy consultancy with expertise in innovation and emerging markets, and media production capabilities. Lunch will be served |
