Rebinder is an online green store offering a slew of post-consumer recycled products that are FSC-certified, such as ReSponse recycled business cards, which are made from 100% recycled fibers; and the ReMark compostable pen, which feels like actual plastic, but is not made of any petroleum plastic. The black ink pen is made with organic cotton or harvested wood; buyers can send the pens back to the company in order to re-recycle them, as well. Office furniture and equipment design firm Herman Miller is rated as one of the top ten admired companies for social responsibility due to their self-dubbed “environmentally-intelligent design.” Many Herman Miller products have earned Cradle to Cradle Design certification from McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry, which allows for the reuse of products to help the environment. The company offers eco-conscious office products like the Celle Chair, made from 99% recyclable materials, and the Intent office furniture line that offers products containing 67% post-industrial and post-consumer recycled materials.

ATP USB Drive
Dubbed the “world’s first recyclable USB drive,” ATP’s aptly titled EarthDrive uses the maximum amount of biodegradable materials and is 100 percent recyclable. The product, which took over 15 years to conceptualize and complete, is made from polylactic acid, a biodegradable polyester derived from resources like corn. The EarthDrive is also water proof, shock proof, and dust proof. It can hold one to eight gigabytes of information, is certified as high speed (1.1), and is Web 2.0 compliant. Also, ATP, in partnership with American Forests, an environmental preservation agency, donates a portion of EarthDrive sales to planting trees.
