As the pace of business continues to increase in 2010, staying on top of the latest technologies can help you stay ahead of your competition. Technology expert Ramon Ray, editor and publisher of smallbiztechnology.com provides his suggestions on the must-have technologies for business owners next year.

SugarSync
SugarSync ensures that all the files you designate are instantly synchronized across all your devices. For example, you work on a document on your notebook computer and save it to the online storage. Later that day, you are in a client meeting, you only have your cell phone with you, and the client asks to see the document. You can access the latest document from your cell phone and forward it to the client. While there are other tools, such as Carbonite.com, that back up your files, SugarSync’s additional ability to ensure that all the devices you use are in sync is a powerful asset to have. The service is available for $30 a month for 3 years.

HTC Tilt 2
There are hundreds of different smartphones on the market, and so many of them are good. The HTC Tilt 2, which is on AT&T’s network, is one of the more impressive. Not only does it have a large touch screen, but it also has a slide-out keyboard. And while those features are not unique, the phone has additional features that make it a must-have. For example, you can enter the password or pin number needed to access a conference call. This is invaluable when trying to join a conference call from your cell phone. The phone retails for $300 with cellular contract.
